Gran Del Val Coffee — Boquete Specialty Since 1914

Gran Del Val is one of the oldest and most respected names in Panamanian specialty coffee — a four-generation family legacy farming in Boquete since 1914. The family pioneered sustainability by building Panama's first ecological coffee processing mill in 1997, and their farms are Rainforest Alliance certified.

The story began in 1880 when French engineer Joseph De Dianous arrived to work on the canal. His son Gabriel purchased land in Bajo Mono, Boquete in 1914 and founded Finca Gladys — named after his wife. Today, the De Dianous-Fernández family farms multiple plots including Finca Gran Paraíso and Finca La Fortuna on the slopes of Volcán Barú at over 1,500 meters above sea level.
