Kotowa Coffee — One of Panama's Most Historic Estates

Kotowa coffee traces its roots to 1913, when Scottish-Canadian pioneer Alexander Duncan MacIntyre settled in the highlands of Boquete and planted his first coffee trees. Now in its fourth generation, the MacIntyre family grows and roasts exceptional specialty coffee on farms spanning all four sides of Boquete, including the renowned El Salto plateau at 1,650–1,750 meters above sea level.

Award-Winning Quality, Roasted at Origin

Kotowa has earned multiple awards at the Best of Panama competition, the Best Producer Panama Cup, and Panama's National Environmental Award. The family also runs healthcare and childcare programs for farmworkers, recognized by UNICEF for nine consecutive years. From single-origin Geisha to their signature Reserva blend, every Kotowa coffee is roasted and packed at origin for peak freshness.
