Café Palo Alto Coffee — A Panamanian Classic

Café Palo Alto coffee is one of Panama's most loved and recognized brands — the cup you find on hotel breakfast tables, in family kitchens across the country, and in the suitcases of travelers heading home. Grown on the Tedman family farm in the highlands of Boquete for over a century, it became Panama's first specialty coffee marketed to a wide audience when it launched as a gourmet brand in 2002. Today it ships from Panama to coffee lovers worldwide.

What Makes Café Palo Alto Coffee Different

A 100% Arabica, medium roast with the kind of balance that makes it disappear into your morning routine — smooth, never harsh, with no rough edges. Tasting notes lean toward chocolate, caramel, and toasted nuts, with a clean finish and very low bitterness. It's the rare specialty coffee that pleases beginners and experts alike: distinctive enough to notice, approachable enough to drink every day.

Choose Your Grind

Each bag is roasted to order and ships in three options so it works with whatever you brew on:

  • Whole Bean — best for grinding fresh at home
  • Ground — drip, pour-over, French press, AeroPress
  • Extra Fine — espresso, Moka pot, Turkish coffee

Why Boquete

Boquete sits between 1,000 and 1,600 meters on the slopes of Volcán Barú, Panama's dormant volcano. The combination of volcanic soil, cool mountain air, abundant rainfall, and the famous Bajareque mist creates ideal conditions for Arabica with exceptional sweetness and complexity — the same terroir that produced the world's most expensive Geisha lots. Café Palo Alto has called this land home for generations.
